Which N55 car to get? F20, F30 or LCI E82/E92?
Discussion
Looking for a daily to compliment my E46 M3.
I was originally planning to stretch for a M140 or even an M2, but have decided to hold off for now and look at something cheaper, so have turned my attention to the F20 M135, F30 335i M-Sport, E82 135i/E92 335i M-Sport LCI models. Looking at autos as this will be my everyday car.
All have their plusses and negatives in my book. F series cars have a more modern interior, E series cars are coupes and arguably better looking, although I think the F30 really nails it for looks, but may not be as 'fun' as an E82 or F20.
Are there any major problems with the DCT box? I know how good the ZF 8 speed is, but know next to nothing about the DCT in the LCI E chassis cars.
Criteria is a fast daily that give a similar feeling to my M3 (but obviously not as raw given my list doesn't include any M cars). I've even thought of getting a E46 330Ci as I test drove a couple recently and they definitely felt very familiar and likeable, but I think it would be too slow after a while.
I'm in Australia, so rust is not a major issue.
Thanks!
