I have just come from a TVR Tuscan where each TVR has its own thread. Why are all BMWs lumped together not a seperate M-Power one even?

Surely there should be one for each series and the classics etc. By the way i went to the show yesterday it was ace !!!

Ted any chance of a new thread?

Get an E39 M5 Thursday will attach pics when it arrives... :O))

Not sure if it's needed based on the number of posts on the forum. Certainly there is already bias towards M cars as we are PHers anyway.

One useful thing to do is to always put the precise model number in the title (ie E39 M5 or E30 M3 etc) so that relevent people don't miss a thread.

Excellent choice of car BTW, enjoy tomorrow.

Hi Tuscaholic,

More than happy to offer a model breakdown when there's enough chatter on here. Lots of M5 owners on here now I think.

Although classed as 'BMW', the forum is of course slanted towards the performance models (M Power/Alpina/Schnitzer) etc as is the rest of PH.

The more the merrier!

Cheers,
Ted

Problem is they never made an E30 M touring, although a couple have been made by enthusiasts

I think the E30 3 series is very well supported by the E30Zone. I hardly ever see any E30 related posts in the BMW forum unless they are M3 questions, that the E30Zone could handle.

No plan to split the forum, just thought it might be useful to highlight how many lurkers are here

If the forum was as chatty as the Tiv forum then fair enough. I just don't think there's enough going on in here.

Perhaps it should be reviewed again in a few months to see if the number of postings in BMW goes up?

Edited to say they don't go wrong as much so we have less to talk about.

Although its nice for us M drivers to have our own little place to titter amongst ourselves, seems as this forum's front page spans nearly a week in date, its not as if M related issues get swallowed up by general BMW chatter.

No lurking from this proud E34 M5 owner

....though tend to use M5board.com for serious technical info, combined with a dash of bmwe34m5.com for those all important FAQs
