I've got a partially finished BMW. It's roadworthy and I've been driving it around forever but it's missing bits of interior and exterior trim and it needs work doing to things like window mechs, door cards... and some inspect & maintain type stuff.

I've got pretty much all the bits. Basically it needs someone to spend a week on it. I'm willing to pay the going rate.

This isn't the kind of work a normal mechanic would be interested in, it's more of a job for a BMW specialist who does restoration type work.

I am in Surrey. Does anyone know anybody..?

Try Lee Shannon over at Bentley, outside Farnham. He's done a couple of projects like you're describing for customers of his and his work is outstanding.

Depending on where you are in Surrey, BMR Performance near Crawley might also be worth a try. I can recommend them.

Cheers

I second this. Sent my car from Lincoln to them to have the rod bearings done based on their reputation and they did not disappoint

I’ll third that. They service my old e30 and my 340i touring. Barry loves an old BM too.

He used to work on them (E34s) when they were new.

Fritz Bits in Somerset. Fantastic. But not local to you

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. It's a big deal for me to give this car to someone as it'll be an admission of defeat for me! However the car needs finishing and I'm just not getting it done. Lee Shannon and BMR sound particularly promising.

Pristine Bodyworks in Essex. Mick does some amazing work and knows his classic BMW's. Personally I'd avoid Fritz in Somerset having seen the 'quality' of their work.

I've not heard them called that before.
