Anybody have experience of what potentially causes this? I was driving to the airport and got a drivetrain fault come up on the dash, it said I could proceed but car was in (very) limp mode, fly home on Saturday and then got a 250 mile drive home which I’m not looking forward to as full throttle just about manages 70mph and less uphill!

Don’t know if it will help but I seem to recall having this issue when I needed the egr valve replacing #1.

As above. This was one of the symptoms. Before my previous car went in for recall every now and again it would show this fault. Switch off and restart and it would clear.

Not sure if it's related buy my OH's 120d started losing power on the motorway a couple of years ago. No warnings on the dash but turning the traction control off removed the symptoms. Turned out it was a corroded reluctor ring on the driveshaft confusing the traction control and causing it to cut power to the engine, even when driving at a steady 70. Just kept the traction control turned off for normal engine power until it was fixed.
