Does anyone know why BMW has removed the Auto Stop/Start disabling button from MHT cars?

Probably so it can't be disabled, maybe more brownie points on emissions testing.

Maybe, but it is disabled by default in SPORT mode. And, wouldn't they want emissions testing brownie points for all cars?

It doesn't have much to do with emissions as they are tested in the default startup mode (where s/s is on). It's been deleted for probably the same reason it doesn't exist on the 330e either, they reckon the vehicle knows best when to turn the internal combustion engine on or off.

Yes it drove me mad on my new X3 but I am used to it now. One reason could be when descending a steepish incline the engine cuts out and coasts, and as said it’s more precise now with this MHT
