This is probably a daft question

in the 5 touring there is a cargo net that can be attached to the roof when the back seats are upright

When the back seats are flat can it be attached to the seats and attached to the roof behind the front seats?

I've had a look at a couple of videos and can't see any lugs?

Yes can attach it so the partition is directly behind the front seats. Not sure if it's reliant on having a storage pack or similar, but my F11 also has it.

You slide the divider here and pull up to the roof.

I knew it must be possible as it is a main reason for buying an estate

As you say it might be part of an option pack to get the lugs so maybe press cars don't have that fitted
