Hi I wanted to engine swap my 320i for a 335i it’s for a bmw 320i 2009 e90 what engine should I be looking for thanks
I'm fairly certain you would be much better off simply selling the 320i and buying a 335i. As for engines, the E90 started with the N54 (twin turbo) and was replaced with the N55 (single turbo) at the end of the run. If you really do want to pursue an engine swap, then I would research whether you could use the N55.

Not as straight forward as that; looms, ECUS and all sorts of other things needed plus the time to remove it all and then refit it...Sell the 320i, buy a 335i
Cheaper, easier and cheaper on the insurance side of things too
Engine swaps are a lot of work.
In the day of Mk2 Escorts, going from a 1300 X/Flow to a 1600, and then a 2.1 Pinto with all the associated hardware was a piece of cake.
Today with all the sensors and ECUs, and matching hardware - it’s a totally different ball game.
Plus, it’s a modified car, for almost no reason - just buy a 335i…

As others have said it would be easier and probably cheaper to just replace it with a 335i.
In addition to what "dan_1979" listed it would probably need a gearbox, diff and brakes too!
This. Plus insurance companies would look a bit askance at an engine swap such as that.In addition to what "dan_1979" listed it would probably need a gearbox, diff and brakes too!
