BMW G31 SatNav not working after EGR Cooler recall

Hi there all. I took my Jan 2018 G31 (530d M-Sport Touring) into BMW two weeks ago for the EGR cooler re-programming recall. No parts were changed, it is just a re-program with new code to avoid the fuel deposits and fire risk etc. After collecting the car the SatNav seemed to have lost its GPS location. Travelling between Hereford and Bristol it was telling me that I was in the Irish Sea! I have taken it back and they tell me that there is a fault with the telemetry control unit and it has to be replaced. They first thought it was the antenna but on fitting a new one the problem was still there. Everything worked fine prior to taking it in and there were no fault codes present. It would seem to me that the re-programming has thrown an issue with the Telemetry unit, or perhaps something else. Any thoughts about this would be welcome. Thanks in advance!
