2015 F12 fault code and battery reset question

Hi, I've had an error code for 7 months. Driver restraint system error. The scanner says it's to do with how the headrest should move when sensing a collision. The guess is that at the moment in the case of a crash the headrest would not move. The fault has been cleared twice by my friendly local tyre place. It came back. It’s been suggested that a battery reset should work - any thoughts?
