BMW 530D Sport

I am new to this site and I am really impressed with it. I have just bought a 530D Sport (11/02) with 65k (E39 model I think its called) I have a problem with the phone (its the one in the centre armrest that looks like a TV Remote!). After fiddling with it to get it to work it has changed to German and I cant get it back... any ideas?. Also, this is my first BMW and so I would be grateful if anyone has any tips/advice on what to look out for etc.
