8.8 retrofit F30

Hi

I have the HU_ENAVEVO (6.5in) and ID6 on a Dec.17 car , that means hopefully I can get native Carplay coded in

Is anyone able to know if you can check for the Wifi Antenna without tearing apart the dash to check the HU?

Regardless, I have bought the part 65506822626 (CID 8.8)
from a breaker (taken from a 2017 335d) but I am useless at fitting (some of you may remember my bolts thread on GG from a few weeks back)

Anyone know who would be best to fit this and swap the 6.5 in for a low price, I don’t want to get ripped off for such a small job (its just the screen, not the HU)

I’m in the N Ldn/ sw herts area. Do you guys think any regular garage would take this on? Its bit of an unusual job for them no?

You can’t check for the antenna without removing the HU, but it takes literally 5 minutes. Just remember a towel to place over the gear shifter to prevent scratches when you pull out the HU.

You should have a look on BimmerTech's YouTube channel to see how easy it is. All you need is a plastic pry tool and a torx bit screwdriver.
