F10 520d electrics wrong way round???

I have had a 2011 520d for about 6 months now, and the electrics are backwards. So if the left hand side door is open the right hand side door will show as being open on the dashboard screen, and vice versa. If I press the left seat heater it with heat the right. It's the same with the heater module, my wife will turn her air con down on her side and it will turn mine down instead. It's been like this since I bought the car but now I am selling I want to get it sorted. Also (and this is weirder still), I put my seat back using the electric seats and the seat goes forward, up is down etc.

Someone has suggested a LHD heater module and related heater module has been put in, but why would it could a seat to tip back instead of forward? Also someone else has said you cant just chuck another ECU into a different BMW.

Anyone heard of this before?
