Hi All,

Couple of random queries.

1. Boot space - Can anyone who has experienced both E91 & F31 comment on the boot space please? Is the F31 is any kind of noticeable improvement over the E91.

2. Euro 6. It appears that the LCI facelifted upped the 330D from Euro 5 to Euro 6. Was this achieved via means of AdBlue or similar? Did the change introduce any noticeable reliability issues or A.N.Other unexpected complications.

I am specifically interested in a F31 330D non-XDrive as a possible replacement for our E91 equivalent. We don't live in a ULEZ zone but I would like to defend against them becoming more prolific in the near future if buying another diesel.

Thanks

Boot space in the F31 is usefully bigger, but it isn't night and day.

Having move directly from 9 years in an E91 to an F31 this year I'd say the boot space is not notably bigger, it's certainly still a relatively small boot compared to, for example, a Focus estate.

I have an F30 335d LCI. Which is:
Euro 6 but no Adblu.
LCI (life-cycle impulse, ie. Facelift), which brought in revised suspension which improves ride especially for run-flats - but you will have to make your own mind about that. Don’t go for bigger than 18” wheel diameters (I went down from 19” to improve ride and cope with speed humps).
Check up whether you are still liable for a higher rate VED, it should be ending soon if you are within that car age range.

In the family we have an E91, its generally a small car. The boot specifically is rather small.

I personally have a G21 (current shape 3 Touring) and the boot is much larger than the E91. I believe that the F31 has the same size / shape / volume as the G21. If this is true then it means that there is a substantial difference between E91 and F31.

I could not live with the E91 boot size but find the G21 just right.
