Welcome to Pistonheads!
I didn't know they made X-drive M4s. I'm a long-time BMW fan, having had 1x E30, 2x E36, 2x E46 and still have an E46 and an E32. But I'm afraid modern BMWs leave me cold. I want a naturally aspirated I6, V8 or perhaps a V10 in my BMW. And I hate the modern designs. But I can still see that it's a nice car if the looks are your thing.

It's my fourth bimmer. The first was a 2007 530i with a 6 speed manual. The second was a 2010 328i. The third was a 2020 M340i. It was quite a step up. Then I traded it in on this one. The M340i was paid for. But I just had to have the full M car. And I wanted all wheel drive. When They came out with that new Bugs Bunny teeth looking front grill I wasn't crazy about it either. But it grew on me. I waited 12 months to get it. Then finally I got the call from the concierge. She said I have good news. It just arrived at the port of Galveston from Germany. It was exciting.

I have two BMW’s that went the opposite way A Z4 and an X3
Do they still offer European delivery for colonials ?
One of my good friends and business associate ordered a new Audi RS6 over a year ago. They kept pushing his delivery date out. And then when mine arrived I think he felt left out 😂. So he cancelled his order. Went down to the Mercedes dealership and bought a 2023 SL63 AMG convertible.

The best 1/4 mile time I was able to do in it was 11.1 seconds at 120mph. Impressive for a stock car. Car and driver claims they were able to achieve 1/4 mile times of 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and 11.0 flat at 125mph. But they did it at a drag strip with a prepped surface. I did it on the street with the Perelli pzeros with the dragy app. And I did two runs and my zero to 60 was consistently 3.4 seconds. And I'm perfectly ok with that.

I don't know if they offer it.
Always seemed like an epic way to get a new car, read quite a few reports over the years on Bimmerpost of Euro collections Fly to Munich, collect your car at the Welt, spend a couple of weeks hooning round the alps .. max it out on the autobahn then fly back stateside and a month or two later collect your car at your local dealer
Factory collection = epic way to get a new car ( especially on another continent )
If I had done that which would have been epic, I would have had to wait until my 1,200 maintenance before I could let it rip on the Autobahn. I was told that I could not take it above 4,500 RPMs within the break in period. And that the car would be down 50hp until then she said. But after that I could go hog wild. When I picked it up it only had 1.2 miles on it. It just turned 2,500 miles. Always wanted to go to Munich for Oktoberfest.
The Woodlands just north of Houston. It's close to Conroe. Im originally from northern California. San Jose. When I was 24 i moved To Austin with a company. Met a hot Texas girl. Got married. Had two beautiful daughters. Been married 25 years now. Started a business 6 years ago and never looked back. Texas has been very good to me in so many ways.
