ZF8 speed oddity in 5th gear only

Hi all,
Firstly, I will be calling my local indy tomorrow AM and getting it booked in, but after extensive googling didn't return anything meaningful I thought I'd ask the collective knowledge of PH in the mean time.
Car is a M140i with ZF 8 speed.
Yesterday I noticed that in 5th gear using manual mode, If I accelerate from say 35mph there is a slight vibration/rumble that appears to come from the near side rear, as soon as boost comes on fully the vibration/rumble goes. In total the sensation lasts around 1.5 seconds.
Trying to repeat in any other gear isn't possible, the car just smoothly pulls away.
I'm not in the habit of stressing the box in this way, I actually discoverd by accident.
Any ideas?
Not fussed if it's going to cost to fix as the car is looked after, just curious what it could be.
