G31 infotainment being strange or haunted?

I have a 2y old G31 which has been playing up sporadically for a while

Bizarrely around the time Taylor Hawkins died earlier this year my iDrive Spotify would only play Foo Fighters songs. I admit this is completely weird and can see no explanation other than something from the spirit world taking an interest in my car

After a week or so (RIP Taylor) it went back to normal although in this period it was serviced and when I mentioned it the tech definitely made me think he thought I was a weirdo. Which was probs fair enough.......

And roll forward to this week

Now I have poor nav positioning such that the car can locate me to within a square km and not to within a few metres on the road so routing is poor and also my Spotify connection fails with a "cant connect to server" message - or words to that effect

The two scenarios must be linked - ????? - but Im at a loss to explain the current one unless an ectoplasmic TH has taken control

Car is under warranty so Im not stressing it that much however with a number of festive road trips planned Id quite like to have nav functionality and the ability to play a bit of Rick Astley

Can any of you relate to this????
