I have this issue too on my g31, anyone know where you can get this coded out near St Albans?

I have no interest in paying Bmw 1k to fix something I don't need and as its the touring also don't fancy removing the headlining to access the battery!

Mine was saying emergency call system not available. If I warmed my battery up it cleared.
Replaced battery with new one and message still showed up, thought I may have to get error reset. Then the other night to make sure it was the battery I thought I’d remove the new battery and warm the original up again see what happens, upon removing battery the message went off which is strange to not show error without the battery fitted. Fitted new battery back in and message has still stayed off.
Bit of a weird one with mine.

Battery is in the control unit underneath the shark fin.

This has just happened to me...2018 F30 340i intermittent on and off warning. The TCB battery goes and a common failure.

I purchased a new battery £56 plus delivery (ring to confirm it fits your car)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284793206733

I had to remove the 3rd brake light interior cover and the battery was in a small compartment further under the roof lining beneath the shark fin (could reach it without removing the roof lining)...look on youtube

I then popped down to a garage who removed the code for £20..its literally took a minute for them to do it. They said they do about 5 a week at this time of year.

Anyone any ideas on this on an E81?

Mine has had it coming up since battery was disconnected for about a week last winter while having work done.

Assuming dead battery, but have a feeling it’s integrated in a telephonic ecu or something?!

Phone/BT/GPS all work fine.

I had this on my X1 and followed a guide to how to code it out here , you just need the bimmercode app and a bluetooth dongle for the OBD port. My mobile still works fine through the car and it stops the message popping up every time you start the car.
