E70 N62B48 coolant type?
Discussion
So my recently bought V8 E70 currently has the red coolant. My understanding is that BMW recommends the blue one. But the red one is long life, so it's better, right? Also from what I read even the same color coolant can have differences? What is recommended in this case? Flush the coolant and refill with blue? Red? Bottom line is that from what I understand, mixing different types of coolant is no bueno and the only way to be sure is to flush it and replace it?

Comma G48 - ready mixed or concentrate with deionised water - available off Amazon for not a lot of £££Need to empty, flush the system and then refill/bleed etc

Red coolant is wrong for your car. It needs gen. BMW or a G48 coolant. BMW stuff is cheap enough. ML Performance have a good deal on it at the moment.
Copy that. But it's not like you can buy BMW branded coolant on Amazon, right?Looks like ~ £12 for 1.5 litre concentrate.

Got in touch with the BMW independent that I use and they too said G48, so I guess I'm gonna go with that.
Also, I don't get it - why would the previous owner go through the trouble of replacing the correct original coolant with the incorrect red one?
I'd say their mechanic did it; buy in bulk and stick it in everything etc Also, I don't get it - why would the previous owner go through the trouble of replacing the correct original coolant with the incorrect red one?
On Amazon; ready mixed, so ready to just pour in
Obviously you need to know what amount you need as well; you'll loose some during the bleeding process etc;
