Brake fluid service disappeared from idrive

Last year had a brake fluid change done at an independent and it showed in the idrive history. Just had a major service at authorised dealer and the brake fluid change has disappeared.
I’m guessing the independent has bodged it as not updated BMW servers? Still got an invoice so not too bothered but do any independents have access to BMW servers?

As you mentioned they most likely didn't pay the licensing to be able to update the BMW servers. Was the service center on the brake fluid 00000 by any chance?

No, it was just the independents name, no number.

Their website states this though (I’ve changed number)

Definitely aftermarket software used by them if it displayed their name. The genuine software only allows the entry and displays 0000 next to it.

Hello Craig; sounds like an independent near here with the name of a rare metal..........
I took my 535d there in August this year and that still shows in the car's iDrive, together with the indie's name.
I presume it'll stay there unless I visit a BMW main dealer (unlikely)?

Yep that’s the one!

No complaints about the indie, just expected the entry to remain. Not a big deal as have the receipts etc. and likely to be indie serviced in future (they have done two interim oil changes as prefer to change it every 12 months rather than the BM recommendation of two years.
