The thought passed my mind today that when my N53 engined 630i is no longer viable to run when the crack down really starts on ICE, or I have any major failures... would it be worth converting it to electric. I bought my car prodomently for the coupe looks, the straight six is lovely but you kind of get used to it.

Plenty of companies doing conversions now that seem to be not alot different cost wise to a new EV with dull looks.

As long as the chassis is solid, maybe worth considering down the line? a bmw e63 with tesla running gear would be interesting and a damn site more reliable, would it lose its soul?

Not a prayer.

When the time comes, I shall buy a Honda E and keep my proper car as Munich intended. If proper cars become difficult to use in the UK, I'll just bugger off elsewhere.

Nope. My 440i convertible sits alongside my Model 3 Performance.

The BMW wouldn’t feel right with the drivetrain of the Tesla.
