Hi all. New to forum, so forgive me if in wrong place! Git a 2005 x3 e83 and the parking sensors give me a long beep, when I put it in reverse. I've checked the sensors, as per the advice everywhere and there is no sound from any of them. I have now put software on laptop and investigated.
Results show multiple sensor faults and a 'general voltage converter' fault. See attached image.
Can anyone tell me where this unit is, please, and if it has to be coded to the ecu, if I can get another one?
Thanks, in anticipation.

IIRC it’s in the boot on the right hand side where the side panel is - possibly behind a bit of fabric or below the plastic tray at the bottom. If it’s showing a fault for all the sensors - it might be sitting in a puddle of water, or it could be one sensor short circuiting the whole lot

In fact on looking at the faults and what’s currently present- I think it’s worth clearing the fault codes and seeing what comes back - you may just have the two sensors fauled

Thanks Elliot2000. Tried resetting faults, but no good. Got hold of another PDC control unit, which I will fit and see what changes.👍
