Morning all,

Hope everyone is well.

I have a 2011 760Li (F02) at the moment and currently carry around a Full size (20") spare wheel, jack, t bar etc when going on a long trip as I really can't be bothered to wait a couple hours for the recovery to come with a can of Goo or get me to the closest tyre place when getting a flat.

I have seen many 18 inch BMW space savers but 18s will NOT clear my front caliper and the rear tyres are too wide to clear the front suspension components otherwise I'd get an 18 inch space saver use it on the back and swap the back to front.

Therefore a question for those of you with an F01/2 or any other BM does anyone have a more convenient sized space saver they use? I really don't mind if it's off an X5 or F10 etc as long as I can clear the front calipers I want something space saver sized to clear up more boot space as first world problems would dictate my fridge eats into too much of the boot space as is so carrying a full size wheel as well is becoming a nuisance!

Thanks
Slim

I don’t really understand, you can’t change the overall circumference for a spare, only the width. So I presume you want to go for a 20” with a narrower width rim and tyre?

Hi,

Sorry let me clarify - I want a 19 or 20 inch BMW Space Saver spare wheel F02 but I can't find one online anywhere.

I can only find an 18inch spare which is too small to go over my brakes.

Ergo I am asking the Pistonhead collective if anyone who has an F01 or equivalent what they use for a spare wheel/space saver option.

Thanks
Slim
