E46 Saloon Rear Shelf Speakers

I am replacing the rear shelf speakers on my 2002 318i E46 saloon.

I have taken the OEM ones out, and this sounds like a basic question, but where is the measurement for the diameter of the speaker size taken from ?

Or if someone knows the size anyway....?

I think they are 6.5" but I want to make absolutely certain before I buy new ones....!!

And presumably the numbers on the back of the magnet mean something?

I have replaced speakers before on my previous Alfa 156 so I just want to get the correct fitting.
