Hopeful that someone knows the answer to this?

Alpina D5s only 3 for sale in the UK but the deal breaker between it and a M340d is the Idrive.

Does it have android auto?

Which Idrive does it have?

Late 2019 was the crossover year where IDrive 6 was replaced with iDrive 7. The former is carplay only, the latter is carplay and AA. Easiest way to tell is if the car has traditional digital dials it will be iDrive 6, and if it has the new style backwards digital dash then it should be iDrive 7.

If it is iDrive 6, then you can buy a 3rd party box to add in Android Auto so its not the end of the world if its missing.

i had a retro fit type box in my M5 & Mini. Its just not as smooth as OEM.

Its between D5S and the M340D. More up to tech might outweigh the "unique" nature of the Alpina.

BMW 3 series has terrible seats in comparison with the Comfort seats in the 5 series. Same applies for rock hard suspension by the way, 3 series is just too much with standard M suspension and run flats.
Steering however is better in the 3.
