Looking at buying one of these for my wife as a stop gap until her new car arrives (if it ever does). Anything to particularly look for please? they seem fairly reliable from what I can see. TIA

edit to say meant 30d!

I have the 40d - its been flawless and (touch wood) nothing has gone wrong - just the usual services and tyre change costs

Late 2013 I think to 2018. I'm looking around 15/16 registration cars.

Just had a quick look used car prices are so expensive. I had an 14 reg X6 from new to about 40k and had no issues what so ever hence why I;m considered another (X5) one but taken a back by the cost of them

Yep, was really hoping to hold off buying something but my wife's lease car went back in October last year and she's been making do with our son's car but we can't realistically hold off any longer. Don't think new car will be here until May probably, if at all! Crap situation.

Yep it's a bloody nightmare I was all set to buy an M5 (circa 50k) but I'm spooked about spending that kind of cash atm the way the world is

Isn't ideal but my take, and I might be wrong, is that the new car supply issues aren't going to improve overnight so I would think used prices will remain fairly strong over the next few months. All depends if the cost of borrowing money etc goes through the roof though!

Yeah that's the issue none of us can predict what's happening I guess. I said the same before Covid and prices went nuts

We’ve got a 2016 40d M sport. Big comfy barge and the only issues encountered so far..

It’s needed a replacement rear air suspension strut (£500 fitted) as it was leaking, which is quite common

It has just been recalled for a replacement EGR cooler (safety recall)

Leaking sun roof due to blocked drainage channels (panoramic roof)

Tyres are ~£1000 a set and I find the ride much improved with non run flats

Black/black wheels, ivory leather, at a BMW dealership. Little bit more than I wanted to spend but good history and only 2 owners so shouldn't be too difficult to move on next year. I hope wink
