Franchised dealer or independent?

Seeking some advice as to whether a dealer approved car worth the price premium (about £1.5K).

Also, is BMW Finance competitive against high street loans.

Loan - you own the car
Finance - finance company owns the car.

As for Dealer vs indy, depends where it is that you find the car for you, but the warranty (including MOT insurance) and peace of mind is worth the extra IMHO. As was being in the missus' good books for a week when I gave her a lovely bunch of flowers and forgot to mention they were a freebie from the dealer...
