Emergency Call System Not Available - 5 series (G30)

This message appeared a few weeks ago on my dads 4 year old 540i and appears sometimes upon start up, but not others.

Reading a few forums I have heard people replacing the battery in the arial fin or even replacing the entire fin (£1600) to get the message to go away.

Has anyone else experienced this message and if so how have you successfully removed it?

Have the same issue I tested that battery and it looks fine

Any update on this issue. My G30 comes up with this error. I’ve just taken the battery out to get a part number and just seeing if this is the issue before I order a battery. Also does anyone know if the error needs to be reset or is it a case of just replacing the battery.
