Damn those Germans are efficient. Car was delivered within two months of ordering - and they gave me a one hour slot for estimated delivery - and the guy turned up, all the way from Germany, exactly half way through that hour slot!

I sat in it for at least half an hour before moving off - there's just so much to play with!

Anyone here managed to check what the limiter is set at, or more importantly managed to find a company that will remove it!?

What are you serious that's nowhere near high enough - I've gotta do 200 miles of motorway driving every day

Nah on a serious note, I can't go above 137mph for the first 3000 miles of run-in anyway, so I've got time to go looking for a de-limiting company.

Adam if you read this, I remember you were recommending Kelleners or something when I last asked this a few months back. Is that where you're going to go?

You got delivery after 2 months from ordering?

So is the 'waiting list' a myth?

Cheers - when the sun hits the paint it's even better!

Having a gearbox issue at the moment - can someone help me - the SMG's changing at the same speed independent of what mode I put it in, and what's worse it's the slowest possible mode - it actually takes a whole second to change gears. This is really embarrasing since I like to start in first then switch straight to second - and I get a one second pause while the guy behind has to nail the brakes!

Is the gearbox clever enough to be running itself in? I've tried absolutely everything - setting it with buttons, idrive, the mdrive button, but it's always painfully slow to change gears!

Any ideas?

i think adamt told me that he wasnt allowed to use some of the more aggressive gear change settings, but i wouldnt have thought that it should only allow you to use the softest.

um... have you tried reading the manual? it seems fairly comprehensive to me.

Awesome. I cannot wait to get the 3k miles out of the way so I can take it somewhere nice and wide like Bedford or Donnington and chuck it sideways

I've settled down for a long evening of perusing the instructions. Really hope it helps

It took me half an hour to find the button to turn on the parkronic, then another hour for the heads up display - I still haven't connected up the bluetooth or found the cd-changer. That's one damn complicated car.

So there should be some kind of grading system for E60 M5 owners then, with FQ being a "white belt" at the moment? Tiff Needell would obviously be a M5th Dan!
