E46 330ci Prices on the Up?
Discussion
I was just looking out of curiosity at used manual 330ci's and noticed prices are quite high (4-5K) even for not pristine models with over 100k. Do you guys think the prices on this are going up ? Before I bought my E92 330i manual, I was tempted by and E46 as it was the car I love when I was a kid. But the rust issues, lack of 6 speed, and dated interior I went for the E92 with the N52 engine.
Do you think non M E46 cars are going up in price? I was wondering if this will happen in a couple of years with E92 330 manual.

Prices for 3.0 petrol manual 3 series in E46 and E90 seem to be quite strong. Looks to me like all bodyshapes as well.
I guess many were specified as autos so the numbers of manuals is lower and dwindling pushing up prices.
Peak price of a given car always happens a year after I sell mine so still some way to go as i'm not selling my E46 just yet

Sold my manual facelift 2003 330ci in December for £5.5k inc hardtop. I was second owner and bought it for £15k in 2007. No rusty rear arches, absolute peach to drive and only sign of age was worn side bolster on drivers seat. New owner had it done since.
Replaced by a dec 2009 z4 35i( not m sport) with adaptive suspension and BMW insured warranty on it only 2 owners and 72k miles for £10k. Expect to keep for next 10 years and hopefully not loose any value in long term.

Hahaha, sounds good, I think E46/E90 330 are so much value for the money. I had my 330 6 months now and its been amazing, its not perfect but its only gets used on the weekend. It would be nice if the prices pick up a bit, but I am not that fussed to be honest, I paid 3.6K for mine. Out of interest, how many miles did your E46 have on it? That Z4 sounds like great value, enjoy it.Replaced by a dec 2009 z4 35i( not m sport) with adaptive suspension and BMW insured warranty on it only 2 owners and 72k miles for £10k. Nice, quite rare being a manual F/L with low miles. Someone got a good deal there.https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&...

Ah that's good to know, I didn't knew. I am quite happy with the E92 now, but I always thought the proportions of the E46 are just right, or might be my late 90's kid nostalgia. Maybe I'll buy one and keep it as a future classic.alex075 said:

This is a tidy example, in Imola red, which has clearly had a respray at some point. But yeah, nice cars if you can find a good one.

Manual; low miles; looks to have been very well looked after...
Worth about every penny in this market; not many out there like that!
Interesting this thread has come back up having just sold my E46 convertible. It was a peach of a car, 3.0 manual in an individual colour with 77k on it. A 911 shaped itch being the only reason to sell.
Sold for into 5 figures which I think is a good deal for buyer and seller considering the quality and rarity. I don't think it will go down in value from here if lightly used. Actually, based on my first post in this thread, it will rocket in value next year as I no longer own it! Just like the low mileage manual E30 Alpina convertible I sold in 2008 for £5k
