Hi all

I've been looking around for a good place to retrim my interior of an E30 touring , but getting quotes of 2200-2800 for the seats alone ? Is that about right ? That doesn't include door cards

£1200 for an alcantara headlining retrim
£1200 to retrim the top of the dash in leather

Working out to nearly 5k including steering wheel etc

Can anyone recommend a place where it's cheaper? Not looking for anything amazing just a simple one colour retrim in either black or tan

Thank you

I remember back in the 90's there was this guy in London used to advertise re-trimmed leather E30 seats for 300GBP on the loot. He'd sell them on an exchange bases.

For seats, consider ordering a kit and having a trim shop just do the install. A couple of companies that you can google include:

German Auto Tops
Tops and Seats
World Upholstery
GAHH

Best of luck

I got some panels replaced on my E46 interior a few months ago by Tomas at Tiggy Design in Cheam. He did a very good job and was busy doing a complete Porsche classic interior when I went. He's in a barn next to some tatty industrial units, very tucked away, but he knew what he was doing and I'm pleased with the result. I'm sure he'd give you a competitive price.

Going rate for leather interior second hand is £1500 so with the labour involved in a retrim with new leather is going to be double that I would think.

A lot of the guys on an E30 owners WhatsApp group I am on swear by B-Trim in Enfield

Generally any re-trim is expensive and time consuming. I for years have been re-trimming custom interior for E30 pacifically (Simply because i enjoy sewing up custom seats for cars I like). A lot of the re-trim costs alot due to overheads etc...

as a full-time worker, i do the odd projects from home. If you guys need more advice or looking for a re-trim do let me know, I'd be happy to help.
