Idle range on start up - advice sought.

Any 3 series owners know what the approx idle range should be for a 320 CI ?

Ours is idling at around 500 / 600 which I felt was a bit low - Is this normal for a 6 cylinder engine ?

I was always used to the needle pointing to around 900 to a 1000 on other cars.

Problem is that the car has started jumping (mildly) in the last few days and I felt the revs were a lttle low.

Any Sensible advice would be great.

Sounds like a blocked air filter. If it has a service soon you might be ok, otherwise you should get it checked out.
