Morning all

The brake pad wear warning light came on last week on my my E36 320i, so I duly replaced the pads at the weekend (down to :yikes: levels), however the light is still on - do I need to reset it or is the sensor likely to be faulty?

Any feedback greatly appreciated

Chris

You need to replace the sensor as well as the pads... they are cheap.

Had this exact problem and changed the sensor - didn't fix it. Had it done at the service and they magically got rid of it. Makes me wonder if some computer trickery is involved....

After you replace the sensor, turn ignition to position 1 without starting for at least 30 secs. That clears the fault code. Did it last week on E39, assume same computer.

Hello again

Finally got round to doing this - MOT due in a week or two and presume I need to get rid of the warning light to pass? However, does anybody know where I actually get one of these sensors from?

On another note, I've been trying to get a drivers side headlamp (need full unit as the internal brackets are smashed), and Euro Car Parts' website seems to be doing it's best to confuse me - do I want l/h or r/h? Also, there seems to be several options - I just want the cheapest (selling car soon).

Help!

Cheers in advance

Rung and ordered headlamp, f/r brake wear sensors and wipers for under £100.

Thanks for the tip mate
