Whats the current thinking on the best tyres for this car? Any recommendations before I go proxies?

Good question. My car appears to have been run by the previous owner on Dunlop S8080s for the last few years.

Dunlop 8080e's were the factory fit tyre.

It's a fairly subjective question.

Lots of praise for Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, and Pirelli P-Zero Rossos.

strange cos I was always impressed with the tyres I have on now, and I thought they were factory fit.

Mich Pilot Sports.

No one else running these? Might be a reason they've lasted 10K and my car seems to be running 24mpg?

Ah, forgive me. Dunlop's were factory fit on the pre-facelift cars.

Pilot Sports are decent, but pricey. I've heard good things about the Proxy's you're mulling over.

Yup but not terribly smitten: I sense a fair chunk of tramlining and will be switching to the Pirellis next time, to see whether Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe's words are true.
