E39 Fuel pump change?

how do you do it?

i have one on the way, but there seems to be a locking ring over the pump, under the rear passenger seat.

if anyone has any info to help i'd appreciate it.

went in ostende on the way back from the 'Ring over the weekend. bad end to a very cool weekend

Wot you doin wandering over here on the BMW forum? BTW I've sold the Griff and just picked up an M3 CSL. Early days, I know, but dynamically at least as quick as the Griff, and far more refined, just lacked that raucousness!
