Has anybody put replacement seats in an M3? I find the electric seats incredibly uncomfortable and although I know it will be expensive - especially to get the leather colour match (red!), it is much cheaper than the depreciation hit of getting rid!

There are a couple of chaps at www.bm3w.co.uk who have replaced their CSL seats with new Recaros (the CSL seats are Recaros, but not adjustable). Check the CSL forum there.

I used to get aches on long journeys from the M3 seats (I would end up fiddling with the lumbar adjuster), but I find the CSL seats very comfortable.

These people are BMW leather trim specialists, they may be able to alter the seat contour
