E34 540 thoughts and servicing in east midlands

After test driving some autos, one manual and one M5 (3.6 5 speed), I decided that the 6 speed manual 540 would give me the best combination of relaxed cruising and proper thrashing. Only driven a few hundred miles in my new purchase, but very pleased so far. Anyone else looked at these choices? Which did you buy?

Also I'm wondering who to take the car to for servicing. Any suggestions within the Derby-Leicester-Nottingham triangle, please?

Cant comment on servicing but would recommend re-chipping the car.
I had mine done by a Superchip centre a few years back and was well impressed with the result.

I think the current price is 293.- including VAT and fitting. They guaranty +20BHP.
It felt like a lot more. Oh and the speed limiter is gone as well.
