HR Owen Park Royal Service sold to UK Group (Park Lane)

Hi All,

Anyone else notice this occur back in July apparently https://www.bmwparklane.com/news/2018/july/park-la... ?

Knowing nothing about how these matters work, but any idea why HR Owen would want to sell up (or why dealers generally sell up, I'm pretty sure Berry's Chiswick used to be HR Owen previously a long time ago)?

Seems logical really for Park Lane to acquire this site, especially with it location to the transport network, something that I found could be a pain with the Battersea site.

The HR Owen Park Royal service centre was always an oddity, in that it was a service only centre, as there was no associated HR Owen sales showroom anywhere.

That's true, though I thought Park Lane wouldn't necessarily need to expand given they're BMW UK. But then having said that, I just googled and it's true HR Owen don't seem to have any BMW sites now whatsoever! Seemed to have moved onto / retained all the other prestige marques they're into.

Anyways, am thankful it wasn't Berry's which took it over!

Does anyone know if HR liabilities were sold at the same time - meaning that BMW also bought any of their problems with the sale ?
