whats a 1994 525i SE touring worth?

Am going to sell the above car. Had it for 5 yrs. on 99K miles, L reg, fsh (local garage), bought from a friend, great car, pretty good nick, totally trouble free etc.... What is it worth (no air con , got the double sun roof)? Any ideas? I was thinking £2500 - £3000 private BUT I have no idea and am not precious!
A friend has already said they want to buy it and others have asked. Just dont want to sell it too cheaply! Got to sell it before the Merc estate arrives and the TVR soon!

not sure what the markets like for these great long lasting cars
could well have a 95 M 518i SE Touring (stop laughing at the back!)
92k on it, Full BMW FSH, mint condition, runs like a dream if I can finally persuade the old man to splash the cash on a newer E39
We were thinking along the lines of £1600-£2000k private
