The soon to be launched M3 CS will have CSL style alloys, CSL Brakes and Sharper steering as the CSL.

You can have the DSC trackmode steering wheel and the SMG handle in alcantarra as per the CSL all in a special metallic blue (albeit other M3 colours are available)

But it won't sound like a CSL

Which is good news for CSL owners

Do you mean the Competition Pack option as sold in most countries except the UK? It looks quite good, I have a friend that has one and I saw it last week in Belgium, but it looks more like a lower spec M3 than a CSL.

Maybe called that overseas but it is available for ordering now.
I got the info off the BMW infonet and here it will be called the M3 CS.

It is a standard M3 but with some CSL tweaks all other options are still available.

Yes, that's the Competition Pack that costs around 5,000 Euros as an option on an M3. It was designed for those customers in the US that were denied the CSL (due to safety legislation issues).

BMW UK made a statement 6-8 weeks ago saying they would not bring it to the UK to preserve the values of UK CSLs. Clearly they were having a laugh...

I don't think it will effect the values of CSL's but will provide an M3 to suit those who find the CSL to hard and roar.

The CSL has now found it's price and except for the odd high mileage car I think they will stay where they are at around the £40-£45K
