Anyone got any knowledge?? I have taken the inner door skin off, and I have found the front wire cord broken. - I guess the whole assembly has to come out. I dare not take it out at the moment as I am sure the window will drop down and I have to use the car. Also I wont be getting to order any bits till tuesday I guess.

Do I have to order the whole sheerbang? or can I just get a replcement wire cord?

It`s not a very hard job
you just buy a replacment regulator and change over the motor

Can I do it without taking the glass out? - I read up on some US based sites and they talk of having to take the glass out?

Cant wait to see price of new window regulator..not.

on some the glass comes out coz the regulator bolts are behind it. you just remove the 10mm bolts and it lifts out

you were right. Pretty simple job. BM wanted £200 for the regulator, so I went down the second hand route.
