Get some caliper paint from Halfords or similar. They do a whole array of colours. I used the black one on my old M3 and they come up nice with no noticable fading after 12K miles.

Had the same problem. My solution (because I couldn't afford £1700 for an upgrade) was the following. Buy a pot of gold and a pot of silver smoothrite. Mix together in an old jam jar so that a nice pale gold colour is achieved. You don't want the colour to be too "yellow", as it needs to match the original anodised finish.

Take of wheel and wire brush caliper and then steel wool to smooth finish. Airline or dust off remnants and then paint carefully. 18 months on and mine are still looking fresh.

Cost about £12 and some time and effort. Looks great!
