As you know, I should be getting an E32 735i, but theres one thing that concerned me, the steering seemed awfully light? Is this normal? Have I just been spoilt with the MX?

Yes it is normal. It's still an exec barge, even if it is far more chuckable than other exec barges from it's period.

Nice one pwig, as already discussed with dazren, when I start doing the big commute I'm considering either an E32 Bimmer or an older E28 M535i.

I've been told by my contacts to avoid the 750i due to the cost on things such as suspensions components.

I love the stiff taut handling of my 993 and the responsive go-kart handling of my E21 Bimmer, but wafting around in Jags, and taking the country roads has given me a taste for a quality old budget barge.

M.R. Do you have pSS9 on your T4? If not it is but a jelly as to how stiff and taut it could be...just wondered.

Yeah, the steering is somewhat over assisted, and might be steering box rather than rack and pinion, which further knackers things. Servotronic (variable assistance) doesn't help either, if it's fitted.

Still, on both barges I've owned (E38 730i and E34 540i), things get better once you're dug into a corner.

No I don't have that suspension fitted, and I doubt I need it with MY driving. It is soft campared to 964s and some other sportier cars but hard compared to limos and barges obviously. Unfair comparison I know. But it IS nice sometimes to commute in from the country into work in a soft giving car.
