Was thinking of gettign a 911 or an M3 and I think my mind is made up to get an M3. I am looking for a bit of advice really. Should I go New or a couple of years old with low mileage? I have heard how good the CSL is, for everyday use is it that much better than the M3? Any comments on manual or automatic, I think I would prefer manual but dont know much about the automatic. Also are BMW going to continue selling the M3 along side the new 3 series. (should I wait a while to see if therer will be any bargains about.
Anything else I should consider like what are the service costs like orare there any known problems?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

There are no automatic M3's, it is an automated manual 'box. The CSL is a different car to the M3, more raw, less equipment, think normal 911 C2 verses 911 GT3.

Nathan's put it about as clearly as it can be put. I've moved from M3 manual (stolen) to M3 SMG to CSL and each move has added yet more enjoyment to an already fine car.

I drive the CSL every day, but felt the need to add satnav and a phone.
