Just wondering if any of you could help.

My alarm keeps going off all the time but the siren doesn't sound. I think this is because it's been switched off so how do i get it back on again and how do I stop the alarm going off all the time!?

(I've not got the key for the alarm box, can BMW order one for me?)

Cheers all!

P.S. Thought it might be handy to note it's a 323i Coupe E36.....

What sort of condition is your car battery in?

The only times I've had alarm problems with my E36 alarm has been when there have been battery problems. Either with the key fob or with the car battery.

Low temperatures such as we are now experiencing, together with a battery wll past its best have in the past caused all sorts of temporary, intermittent and weird alarm faults. These usually cease when the weather warms up and the battery is fully charged.

I'm at a loss to explain why it happens.

Cheers sparky

The battery was new from December and the car is used every day for a 2 hours round trip to work so unless the alternator is going, i don't think its that!

Any other suggestions?
