has anyone out there had this problem?

every 10 days or so my car (52 plate m3)goes completely dead when you try to start it you then have to open and close the car a number of times to get it to go

bmw have had it back but the car isn`t showing any faults and it never happens when they have got it!

any thoughts welcome

My car does that every now and then, in the sainsburys petrol station!!! interferance aparantly??? might be worth seeing if there are any ariels or transmitters around next time the fault occoures! The emergency services engineer said it was allien intervention......but on closer inspection she was just a pump attendent!!

thanks zod that means i got a bad one then! i have sent bm an email already an waiting a reply can`t help but think ther will be some head scratching going on this one

i did think it might have been one of those cars that was sunk on that ship and maybe they didn`t manage to dry it out!

Subaru P1s have a similiar problem - to do with newish Police digital transmissions? Suabaru will replace under warranty but I just use the key pad in glovebox whn I need to (with alarm siren going off !). Only happens to me on top floor of Gatwick airport car park.
