Cannot get into boot - 525i (E34)

Help!
Boot lock was sticking on my '89 525i, so took it off and greased it up.
Put it back on and reconnected levers, but solenoid lever or something must have been in different place 'cos now I can't open the boot and all my tools are in there!
I've operated the central locking via the front doors, including the deadlocks in different orders but the boot won't open.
How does the rear seat back come off (only had car 3 days you see!) to access through to the boot, or is there a "canny" way in?

Silverfox, have sent you email seperately with details of car purchase to prove ownership. Hope you can help -I have managed to get through panel between rear seats to retrieve tools but boot still won't open!
