dash bulb replacememt e46

How easy is it to change dash bulbs on bmw e46?.Is it just a case of undoing the 2 screws at top of dash and pulling dash forward to get at them, or will this cause problems?

yes its that easy, remove the screws, pull forwards,release wiring blocks, lower the column if it adjusts. and turn the wheel to the left as you squeeze the dash through.
watch the knobs as it goes through it can be a tight fit.

this will not cause the computer or any other function on the car to shut down?thanks for advice

Not at all, but dont turn on the ignition or start the engine with the dash removed, or you will have the air bag light stuck on
