diesel update

hello this is an update of my previous message, i have found out that the 740d didn't come in rhd becuase question to do with the steering column. and the point was raised that the 535d engine is more powerful anyway. so has anyone got any ideas of companies that like to do a bit of bodging/engine swapping around south east/kent area? any help would be much apreciated

Why are you bothering? Surely the fuel saving of a diesel will soon be outweighed by the cost of the conversion?

I bought a 1992/3 5 series once that had been converted from a petrol 518i to a 524TDS (straight six diesel).

They did a brilliant job, very tidy and original looking and once I set the pump up it went like a rocket.

The car had been stolen and recovered without the engine and the owner of this place decided to convert it and run it afterwards. Very nice car too.

I think it must be these guys looking at the address (I guess they've changed their name in the last 6yrs or so).
