Anyone know a quick fix for Z3 windows which are running slow ?

Can't tell if it's the motor or if there is just dirt along the runners ?

HELP !!!

It's a common fault with the Z3's caused by water ingress where the window / door meets.

I had the motors on my Z3M coupe lubed and fiddled with (about £70 labour), but if you've got a warranty they're covered for full replacement.

is there anything that can be done as a quick fix maybe ? because they keep jamming on me !!

and getting my sausage like fingers in the half cm gap to try and push the window down is painful

Not sure really. Have you tried squirting lube down into the door.

Try www.mz3.net and www.z3mcoupe.com for more info.

I should think WD40 would do the trick. Anything water-repelling.

My girlfriend found some 'Wurth' lube in her car after a service from Peugeot, that they were using to eliminate squeeks from a 206CC. That was good.

Your best bet is to find a friendly indy garage to strip the door and give the motors a going over. Will take an hour or two, but worth it, at least until you can get the motors replaced / reconditioned.
