BMW TMC

anyone ever seen this work properly, is the UK actually compatible with it??

I've had it working fine in a number of cars.
You do need a TMC coded disc though. All the DVD discs are TMC (I believe) but only some of the CD's.
To lock onto TMC it can sometimes help to tune the radio to Classic FM until the TMC light goes green

My TMC light switches to green a few seconds after I start the car, and then spends the rest of the day green.

Unfortunately it seems to have no idea of the M25 M20 , Dartford crossing or A2 snarlups.
